“I should never have eaten this cake." "I’m done with pizzas." STOP IT!  Feeling guilty won’t help you to keep your diet in the long term.

Find here our advices to continue to enjoy eating without gaining weight.

Do not deprive yourself too much

Even though you need to avoid foods rich in carbohydrates and calories, it is useless to exclude them entirely from your diet: otherwise, you will break down after a few weeks ... and come back to square one.

You can eat pizzas or cakes, but occasionally (once a week for example), and in smaller quantities. Pair them with a salad or fruit.

Eat quality foods

To eat without feeling guilty, it is useful to favor fresh and quality foods. Avoid processed foods as much as possible: they often are too high in sugars, salt, additives and fat. Did you know that industrial ground meat can be two to three times fattier than the meat you buy at the butcher’s?

Eat slowly

The feeling of fullness appears in about 30 minutes. If you eat on the go in a quarter of an hour, and you eat too much food… then you won't know until it's too late.

According to a study conducted by Kyushu University in Japan, people who eat at a normal rythm are 29% less obese than fast eaters. For those who eat slowly, this percentage rises to 42%!

Play sports

According to a study published in The American Journal of Medicine in 2014, physical inactivity is more responsible for obesity in the United States than junk food. Getting active allows you to burn calories. So even with a balanced diet, you will still have a hard time losing weight if you stay locked in your home all day.

Focus on endurance sports, with moderate but more lasting effort. While exercise doesn't always help you lose weight, it can help you slim your body by building muscle.

Healthy alternatives to everyday foods

It's not always easy to lose weight when you don't have time to prepare meals, eat slowly or play sports ...

At this point, you can always choose alternatives that are not always so painful: for example, go for whole wheat bread, rice or pasta instead of white cereal.

In addition, you can opt for meal replacements, as long as they are of good quality. Having trouble finding one? So don't hesitate to try our Vegan Chocolate Protein Powder , it's here for you!
